History of ADNL
ADNL (by Capital Netball) is a not-for-profit organization that was established in 1986. The Senior League caters for competitive and social players from the age of 14 years, while ADNL Juniors caters for young players of all abilities from 8 – 18years.
ADNL was a competition for adults in it’s initial years. In 2016 ADNL introduced a role on the committee (Youth Development Officer) which was dedicated to developing junior netball in Abu Dhabi. The first year was a huge success with membership at capacity within the first 12 months.
ADNL is run by an executive committee which is elected each year by the league members. The committee meets regularly to manage all aspects of running the senior League, ADNL Juniors, competitive and friendly tournaments, as well as the administration and general care taking of the future of netball in Abu Dhabi.
We are a multi-cultural competition welcoming players from all over the world. Membership is predominantly expatriate, although the interest in netball from the local community is growing.
Since its inception, the ADNL season has been played at numerous netball venues throughout Abu Dhabi, from Sheikh Zayed Academy for Girls, The Intercontinental Hotel and The Marina to its current home at Zayed Sports City.
